Britney received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of British Columbia in 2016 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2021. She began articling with Woods Law after graduation and was called to the bar in 2022. 

Being employed for over seven years as a support worker for at-risk and diverseabled youth sparked Britney’s passionate advocacy for children and led her to the practice of law. During law school Britney volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada at the Family Law Assistance Clinic, assisting self-represented parties with their family-related issues such as child custody and support, separation, divorce and division of property.

Britney’s legal practice centres around children, with a focus in child protection law representing parents, caregivers, family members, and youth in care as a member of the Counsel for Children lawyers’ roster, all of which have her appearing in multiple court points across the province. Her practice also includes assisted reproduction law, adoption, adult guardianship law and estate planning.
