Will received his Bachelor of Arts Honours in History (with High Honours) in 2015, placing on the Dean’s List in 2014 and 2015. He received his Juris Doctor in 2019 and was awarded the Gabe Burkart Memorial Award in Criminal Law and the Douglas A. Schmeiser Prize in Criminal Procedure. He completed both degrees at the University of Saskatchewan. He articled at the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan in Regina before being called to the bar in 2020. He began his career as a prosecutor in Meadow Lake. In 2024 he joined Woods Law and switched to private practice. He practices exclusively in the area of criminal defence.
Will has appeared in court points throughout Saskatchewan, and in all levels of court in the province. He has experience in a broad range of criminal matters, including DUI/impaired driving charges, violent crimes, sexual offences, weapons charges, homicide, drug trafficking, and property offences. He uses a flat-free retainer arrangement so clients understand the up-front costs to their file. He also frequently accepts files for those eligible for court appointed counsel.
Will is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and the Saskatoon Criminal Defence Lawyers Association.
